Where To...

My husband and I will be celebrating our second wedding anniversary this year at the end of August. We had an idea of a 'trip' we would like to take, but as the date gets closer be would rather take a 'vacation'. A 'trip' (to us) is when you travel and you have activities and adventures planned, and not a lot of resting and relaxing. A 'vacation' is when you travel, have nothing planned but relaxing, and enjoy doing nothing. And we are in need of a vacation! Usually a vacation to us includes laying on a beach, drink in hand. But we are perplexed as to where to go and are open to all suggestions. We would love to know of a place where you have traveled, trip or vacation, that was wonderful!

the el dorado royale in riviera maya mexico. not that pricey (you fly to cancun then get a car/bus south). rent a "casita". it's heaven on earth. we went for our honeymoon, then went back 8 months later for a friend's wedding. email me tomorrow and i'll send you photos!

so is Charleston a no go?

I know what you mean though, all of our recent trips have been "trips" and I'm ready for a real vacation!

I found your blog through Newlywedisms by Brynn. :) DH and I got married on the beach near Destin, FL, and we love that area for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We highly recommend both Seaside, FL and Watercolor, FL near Destin. You can rent beach houses or stay at the Watercolor Inn.
