Rustic & Refined...

While visiting home a few weeks ago, I was thrilled to see a friend's kitchen featured in a local Birmingham magazine, Portico. With reclaimed barn siding for a ceiling, custom cabinetry, and 3-inch limestone countertops, the kitchen commands attention! Erica is a Birmingham-based contractor and owner of Structures Inc., who specializes in complete remodels to new construction to whatever your need may be. Wedding Bells...

I was so happy to hear from one of my best friends that she got engaged on Monday. I am so excited for her!

She mentioned having the wedding outdoors and I came across the photos of Jenna Bush's wedding. I love the backdrop! And can picture her standing in front of it. And who wouldn't want to dance the night away in that tent. If you know of any other inspirational images or wedding sites that may help her, please let me know. Thanks! Old 280 Boogie...

This past weekend we attended the 8th Annual Old 280 Boogie in Waverly, AL; a free music and art festival hosted by Standard Deluxe.

We went to support artist, and one of my best friend's, Courtney J. Garrett. She was showing two new series of paintings. Check out the photos below of her work @ the High Corner Co-Op. (check her website for additional work and her new blog)







It was a beautiful spring day to spend outside, with great music, food, arts, family and friends. We were happy our family was able to make it up, especially my sister & brother-in-law, who brought up our sweet, adorable niece. We love her too much!


We stayed at the lake house all weekend and Tucker loved it.
