Blue Hue...
Blue is my favorite color. Any shade: slate, cobalt, navy, sky, cerulean, denim, powder, midnight, steel... I happily welcome them all in my home. My dear friend and artist, Courtney, is currently working on a painting for me with many shades of blue and I cannot wait till it is finished to show you!

Style Updates...
My Home Ideas had some easy style updates you can do that won't break your budget. One idea is to update your lampshades. I would also suggest switching them into different rooms to get the space a look look.
Paint the inside of cabinets or the back of bookshelves.
Create a collection with art, prints, and mirrors.
Break up dining chairs.
Mix up your pillows; no need to match.

Thomas O'Brien...
Thomas O'Brien has a book coming out and I cannot wait to see if after seeing these photos of his apartment. O'Brien is known for his classic, comfortable interiors with his combination of mid-century modern furnishings. We have a clock we picked up from his 'vintage' collection at Target a couple of years ago and everyone that comes to our house always asks where we got it from. He definitely exudes his 'warm modernism' trademark.

Rustic & Refined...
While visiting home a few weeks ago, I was thrilled to see a friend's kitchen featured in a local Birmingham magazine, Portico. With reclaimed barn siding for a ceiling, custom cabinetry, and 3-inch limestone countertops, the kitchen commands attention! Erica is a Birmingham-based contractor and owner of Structures Inc., who specializes in complete remodels to new construction to whatever your need may be. Below are few more shots of her renovated bungalow, and be sure to visit Structures website to see more of their eye candy work!
