When we were children my mom had a small artificial tree for my sister, brother, and myself that we would decorate and put on our dresser each Christmas. To this day she still puts them out and we always get to see them when we go home. What is one of your favorite Christmas traditions, now or from your childhood?

I adore Christmas traditions. I started having my family (17 of us) for Christmas Eve dinner every year, so we could start our own tradition. We all still go to my parents on Christmas Day which is a fabulous, fun filled day for us all!!
This may not be a very exciting tradition by my mom always gives us pjs the night before Christmas and we always have pancakes and sausage Christmas morning. Love traditions!
we bake cookies @ midnight :)

Baking Christmas cookies with my mom and sister is my favorite tradition. I love the idea of a table top tree. Your inspiration photos are beautiful!
Beautiful post!

Ohhhh are beautiful, I like them all!
Merry Christmas!!
I love them all... sweet.
My favourite family tradition from my childhood is waking up to the smell of cooked ham at midnight of Christmas Eve and my mother allowing us to open one present :)
We don't do it anymore my children are too young
Maybe next year
Every other year my husband and I travel across the country to visit his family for Christmas. Since we won't be home on Christmas day we don't even bother to put up a tree. The little table top tree is a perfect alternative!
I love the table top tree idea. When you get old, it would be easier to put up and take down!! Merry Christmas Megan and family!
Such a cute idea!
Love the last tree with all the red. So beauitful!

We also had our own tabletop trees, I am not sure where mine has ended up though. We decorated our own gingerbread house too every year and I always loved the whole process of picking out the perfect candy for the process.
I love these smaller trees and wish we could've done one like them this year since we are going away in early Jan. And would've been nice to worry about the take down of a big tree.
