Rethinking Storage...
I love this twist for displaying all your items found on Living Etc.. Instead of a typical bookshelf, why not trim down a console table and mount it to
your wall. I like it! {I now need the wall space and a console}.
a room divider. Instead of stacking them one on top of another, you could
turn and arrange them differently, even leaving some holes to place something in.
additional storage. I have seen shelves and drawers built into stairs,
but never shoe shelves {clever if in the right location}.
Now, lets just swoon at some more storage and organization.

Another Pick me up...
Yesterday on the way home from work I passed this dresser that was on the curb and of course I wanted it! So when I got home I had to sweet talk the hubby into going to pick it up with me (being 5'-1" I clearly could not do it myself). Our neighbor was so kind to come along and help as well. When we got there and was checking it out the lady came out and said she was so happy that someone was finally picking it up, and to take the drawers out because it was heavy as lead (and it is). So it now sits in our basement (thus the backdrop in the photo) waiting for a new life. I plan on painting it and would LOVE suggestions! Right now I am thinking of a soft grey, similar to Paula's dresser in her room re.do. Or should I go classic with white or black?

For the Home...

I always enjoy getting the Anthropologie catalog in the mail. I love how they showcase everything. It makes you want it even more. :) Have you seen that they have now added wallpaper to their collection! The Flora & Fauna is my top pick. One of my furniture picks would have to be the Battersea sofette. Love it!

Happy Seat...

but this chair makes me happy! (and it's more affordable).
Way to go Target! Has anyone seen any of the chairs in person?

Pick It Up...
I am notorious for not passing on perfectly good 'free' things, especially furniture! If we had a place or storage big enough, I assure you it would be full of items. Whenever I see items on the curbside I always have to check them out; furniture, windows, doors, etc... I just have to inspect it. This little table was sitting on the curbside last week when I got home from work. Of course my first thought is 'why toss it out?' and my second thought is 'lucky me!'. We have needed a side table for our sunroom and this one fits perfect, and it was free! Don't you just love those finds!? It just needed a little cleaning off and Old English polish and it looks good as new. OK, so let me know that I am not alone out there...any other 'curbside scavengers'?

At Your Service...

One of my favorite things about fall is all the seasonal change in the food. Thanksgiving is mine and my husbands favorite holiday. We enjoy it because it is all about the food, fun, and fellowship with family and friends. When I saw Domino showcase a few buffets, I thought I can't wait to have a home big enough for dinner parties (and a dining room). Out of their selection, my first pick would be this Louis XVI reproduction. I would prefer it in a lighter color.Which would you pick? What do you love about dinner parties? And what do you love about the fall?
