What's your take on large plants in the house? When we first moved into our place in Atlanta and had limited furniture we purchased a large plant from Ikea {of all places} to fill an empty corner. I like the look of a 'manicured' large plant, but not one that over takes the space. If you don't have space or don't like large plants, you can add more life to your space by using just the palms/branches in a vase, like the images below.

i love large houseplants! i've been looking for a big fiddle leaf ficus for a while now to put in my living room.
I love the one in the shower - it probably loves the humidity in the bathroom. I have some bamboo in the bathroom that thrives well.
I'm dying to know what kind of plant is in that third picture.
I don't love the huge plant in a room...I do like the later pictures with the palms in the vases...or even just smaller plants. Sometimes the big plant just takes over the room, and not in a good way!
I would kill every single one of those just by bringing them into my house. I'm convinced it's the air... right...
the shower plant is kind of crazy, but I like it!
I love the look of large indoor plants. I've been meaning to add a few in my home, but I just need help with deciding on which kind...so many choices!
I believe that plants add a type of warmth to a home that no other type of decor can achieve. Large plants add that warmth while filling up large spaces to balance out or complete rooms. Exotic plants can add a lot of interest too.
