Backyard Cottages...

OK, so these definitely seem out of place with the below 20 degree temperatures we are having around here, but they look like a perfect little getaway in your own backyard. I am ready for warmer weather.

What lovely, refreshing images. It's bitterly cold here too. This was a very welcome break.
Thanks.

Summer Houses are common in European gardens. Fell in love with them there.

I put them in a lot of landscape designs. Budget concerns?

Begin with 6" x 6" posts, stone floor, roof. Add back wall, the next year. You may decide to stop there. The next year add side walls. Stop there? Keep going, add the front wall/door.

Add fireplace, TV, comfortable seating.

Fabulous pics, & a nice mix you posted.

Garden & Be well, XO Tara

These are great! I would love to have a cottage for my kids in the backyard, as well as one to house my own office. A girl can dream...

Every Mom needs a place to escape to. I would love one as a little retreat, a place to paint, to dream and to have a tiny tea party.

I love this idea - you don't see it much here in Queensland. I would love to have one of these as a craft/painting room {save our poor rumpus room from the mess} xx
