If I had a fireplace and mantel it would be one of the first things I would decorate for Christmas. We always had a {wood burning} fireplace growing up and to me there is nothing like the warmth of a fire {and s'mores!}. Until we have a fireplace, our TV stand is our 'mantle', but I will definitely take Christmas decorating inspiration from these images. See more here.

if our next house is falling apart it will AT LEAST have a wood-burning fireplace. I miss having one so badly! at least I have my tv stand to treat like mantel, too :)

I love hanging our stockings on the mantel. I always try to wait to do the big tree and stockings after my hubby's bday (the 11th), but these images make me want to hang them with care:)
